Registered Charitable Organisation

CDIA is a charitable organisation registered in Hong Kong. Founded by a group of business enterprises and social organisations dedicated to the future of Hong Kong's younger generation, CDIA operates independently without any government funding. We are exempted from taxes under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (File number: 91/14125).

• CDIA's operational expenses are fully funded through private donations.

• Ms Law Kar-sui, the first chairperson, generously donated the initial funding for operations.

• Office expenses, including rent, utilities, office facilities and management fees were originally sponsored by Mrs Amy Chan, the current chairperson. This support ended in 2020.

• The directors of the CDIA Board serve on a voluntary basis.

Since establishment, every dollar of CDIA’s expenditure has been donated by kindhearted enterprises and private individuals. We extend heartfelt gratitude to our donors from all walks of life for their generosity and selflessness. While donations are crucial, the support of the government and the business community is equally significant. They have been steadfast in their backing of our organisation and assisted in providing valuable work experience opportunities for young people through the Y-WE Programme, greatly benefitting the young participants in a direct way. In addition to offering internships to youths, our supporting community also guide and mentor the young participants throughout the programme, investing substantial resources and time without condition. Their noble spirit serves as an inspiration and deserves the recognition of society.

Furthermore, CDIA treasures its partnerships with non-governmental organisations and schools, which play a vital role in organising, coordinating, and leading students. We deeply appreciate these partners in helping to further our work.

Notably, we are immensely grateful to receive significant annual funding from the Lo Kwee Seong Foundation, which commenced in 2021 for a five-years period.
